What is recorded when you read this site or use the calculator, which is very little.
The short version: the calculator runs in your browser, the site sets no cookies of its own, there are no analytics or advertising trackers, and our access log holds no IP addresses.

This website is run by ATERUS Media s.r.o. (company ID 24732354), Husinecká 903/10, 130 00 Prague 3, Czech Republic, which is the controller of any personal data it handles. Questions about this page go to contact@pilottraveldeals.com.
The calculator and the sheet
The numbers you type into the trip cost calculator are added up by your own browser. They are never sent to us, and the page doesn't save them anywhere.
The budget sheet is a spreadsheet file downloaded straight from this site. We ask for nothing to get it, and we never see what you enter in it.
When you read a page
Every website, this one included, has to know your IP address and what you asked for in order to send the page back. Two parties are involved.
- Cloudflare, Inc. sits in front of our server: it delivers the pages and filters out attacks. It sees your IP address and the request for that purpose. Only when a visit looks suspicious and has to pass a security check may it set one strictly necessary cookie,
cf_clearance, which remembers that you passed. Cloudflare may handle this data outside the EU. Our agreement with it includes the EU standard contractual clauses, and it is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. - Our server runs at Hetzner Online in Germany. For each request it notes which page was asked for, when, the response code, the browser's self-description, the page you came from and the country Cloudflare reports. IP addresses and cookies are stripped out before the line is saved. We read this log to fix errors and to see which guides get read, and it is erased after 30 days. Separate error logs on the server can now and then include an IP address; they are erased within 30 days too.
We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the site safe and working (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). None of this is used to work out who you are or to market to you, and no decisions about you are made automatically.
Cookies, statistics and ads
We set no cookies. The pages carry no visitor statistics, ads, tracking pixels or social buttons, and the fonts and images load from this site. If we ever add statistics or ads, this page will say so before they go live.
If you email us
We get your email address and your message. Mail sent to contact@pilottraveldeals.com passes through Cloudflare's email routing into a Gmail mailbox, where Google keeps it under its own terms, possibly outside the EU (Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
Your message is used to answer you and, if you reported an error, to fix the guide (legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). It goes on no mailing list and to no one else, except where the law requires it. Once a conversation no longer needs keeping we delete it, and in any case 24 months after the last message.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, and receive a copy. Write to the address above. You can also complain to a supervisory authority; ours is the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz).
